Early in 1967 Ida Presti's last request of my father was for a short piece, "pour un bis, et avec beaucoup d'effets", ("for an encore, and with lots of effects"). She did not live to see it completed, dying three months later. When it was finally printed in Guitar Review he wrote: ""It must now stand as a tribute to her artistry, my profound admiration for which gives the title yet another shade of meaning."
The music, a true moto perpetuo, calls for the utmost dexterity and coordination from the players.
