Blues Stories is a series of six progressive ternary duets inspired by concert blues and polyphony. As a nod, this collection is dedicated to my students at the Île de Ré music school in France.
With the practice of keys, 12-bar structures, turnarounds, and effects (slides, bends, hammers, pulling-offs), the collection will allow for an in-depth exploration of this very particular musical style: the Blues. You can swap voices when there’s a general reprise, which will give the ensemble a spatial effect. Have fun!
