Description

In April of 2024 we lost my first guitar teacher and the progenitor of the Texas Guitar Festival and Competition, Dr. Enric Madriguera. I composed this piece to honor him at our first edition of the festival without him. The piece shares a stylistic kinship with a selection I composed many years before of which Dr. Madriguera was very fond. The title reflects two things: that music is the aspect of humanity that binds all of us, and that Dr. Madriguera served as the heart of my introduction to the serious study of music.
