Description

Du haut vers le bas is an interesting new addition to the guitar trio repertoire and is ideally suited more towards the intermediate group. The calm, tranquil opening is unexpectedly replaced at bar 20 by a quicker section having a ragtime quality. This is short-lived however, and by bar 36 the mood of the opening section has returned to bring the work to a serene conclusion.
At only 60 bars in length, this is only a short-term piece but the quality of writing is very good throughout and the work would make a suitable choice for informal concerts and the like.
