These songs (words and music by David Braid) were written on moving to a new area both physically and in life.
The ‘escape’ already achieved (finally).
The ‘shine’ not being lost is the daily gratitude I have from things going well - their ‘shine is not lost on me’ - I notice and appreciate these things always.
The interlude gives an instrumental moment to take a breath.
The 3rd song deals with those ‘singular’ (never to be repeated) moments which, taken together, constitute one’s life.
They ‘make you dwell on pretty things’ they ‘come and go and leave you in peace’ - one hopes!
