For voice, trumpet and guitar
I’ve always enjoyed bringing instruments from different families together; here the trumpet acts as a secondary voice, sort of echoing and commenting on the primary line of the mezzo.
The texts (also by myself) deal with aspects of one’s life - time to move forward, but also enjoying the unusual ‘in-between times’ and the special moments they bring. Indecision and who not to listen to, and the often unthought danger of not realising how delicate and breakable we all are.
As with all my work I draw on personal experience but do my best to make this objective and universal to everyone.
