Description

This is a well-arranged and entertaining new publication from this seemingly inexhaustible publishing company. Put together with their usual smart method of presentation it was an attractive front cover and contains the full score and separate parts for both instruments. There are the typical three movements - Allegro, Cantabile, Allegro and the Vivaldi trademark is stamped on this work from the very beginning and never lets up throughout the duration of the piece. Passages of constant-beat bass lines, rapid arpeggios and repeated notes and imitative phrases make up many of the main constituencies of the well-arranged guitar part played underneath highly attractive and memorable melodies played by the flautist. Well-done arrangements such as this are ideal for duos who are constantly on the lookout for new, quality material to play together. The standard required to play this version is of around the grade 7 level.
