Conceived in just one day, this suite for guitar and piano dives into the universe of the traditional Romanian music from Transylvania.
The six dances I selected for this work come from the violin repertoire and they all ritualic. Following the way Bartok dealt with the folk music I came back to my own way of using traditional music and I made several developments to the main themes. The result was a dynamic suite, in the modal language, which is ready to inspire all musicians willing to discover a fresh repertoire.
