solo guitar, guitar ensemble and percussion
Both my parents were french speakers and my mother had French ancestry, so it was natural for their children to have a strong affinity with France and the french language. At school I was fortunate to have a french teacher who loved singing, and we learnt to sing many of the most beautiful traditional French songs. I adored those lessons, and have carried many of the songs in my head and heart to this day. Those in this Suite are some of my favourites, and I hope I they will prove enjoyable in this instrumental form!
