"The pieces in this collection are titled Campane di Natale, I Fiori del Tempo – Studio da Concerto and Un Petit Nuage Rose. These are three short pages but with a strong evocative character, easily comparable to the watercolor technique in painting.
Campane di Natale, structurally very linear, is composed of a chordal section followed by one where the same harmonic constructs are treated and observed differently from both a technical and melodic point of view. The return of the first section concludes the evocation of Christmas night.
I Fiori del Tempo is a concert study built on the research of the possibilities of the six-string instrument to create a double melodic structure through the arpeggio technique: one easily identifiable, the other more internal, almost hidden. The central section, more lyrical, has a more reflective character. The piece ends with the reprise of the first section.
Un petit nuage rose is a delicate tribute to my father. Its structure, unlike the first two pieces, is more complex. The page develops on a single slow movement characterized by obvious late romantic and impressionistic influences."
