A traditional dance for solo guitar, born from a stay in the Gers. This rural region, deeply imbued with an ancient musical heritage, preserves the memory of village festivals where dance and instrumental music punctuated community life, much like in the neighboring Landes and Basque Country.
The title, borrowed from the Gascon dialect, refers to heavy, muddy land; it deliberately contrasts with the joyful, swirling, and rhythmic energy of the music. The piece adopts a form inherited from these folk practices, while simultaneously revealing a personal and contemporary style.
