Le chemin des songes is a piece for solo guitar that opens with a few molto libero bars, like a light fog lifting. Little by little, the landscape is revealed, made of valleys and silences, inspired by the land of Astarac, in the Gers region often referred to as "French Tuscany."
In autumn, the light is singularly soft, enveloping the hills in an almost unreal clarity. It is in this peaceful and meditative atmosphere that dreams are born: images, emotions, and memories mingle to nourish inspiration, until they are translated under the fingers and on the guitar neck.
Le chemin des songes only takes on its full meaning if it is interpreted freely, allowing one's own emotions to surface—those that lie dormant somewhere between memory and dream.
