This work is a tribute to Valerio—a guitarist, friend, and colleague—who sadly passed away prematurely on December 18, 2022, at the age of just 41, ajer a long baAle with cancer. Valerio was a cheerful and excepConally kind person. When he asked me to remember him through my music, I immediately decided to compose a theme based on his name. By overlapping the alphabet with the internaConal notaConal system, I derived a set of musical notes corresponding to the leAers in his name: VALERIO SPINOSA : A-A-E-E-D-B-A E-B-B-G-A-E-A.. From these, I formed two musical cells, which became the foundaCon of the firs piece (Preludio).
