Sylvain Lemay, guitarist-publisher

This is another of the “100” and is a really tiny piece at only 20 bars duration. It is very quiet and reflective with a legato melody atop an undulating accompanying arpeggio figure with a long bass note beneath. It is no doubt meant as a kind of study for players, covering how to bring out melodies successfully whilst playing a less than obvious accompaniment figure underneath, and all that that entails. As a study it works very well; as a piece, I feel it is a little short and indeed too short to place in concert, unless very carefully programmed amongst a number of others.
