"Here is an appealing little presentation from Sheffield guitarist Nick Fletcher whose compositional output over the last few years has steadily been on the increase and the guitar world has been the richer for it. Laelia is very much in the style often christened 'late night mood music'; it has overtones of jazz and although everything is written out for the player it has a sense of improvisation (the score is marked espressivo poco libero). With an attractive melody line and lush harmonies this would most likely be of interest to the player who performs in restaurants, hotels and the like. The score is well fingered and clearly presented and ideally suited to the higher grade player."
