This is a set of six little pieces that doffs its cap to children. The actual pieces have fun titles and the playing standard is not too difficult, making them approachable by only moderate players. Les Clowns has an alternating 3/4,2/4 lurching sort of a rhythm that remains in two voices throughout; whilst Le Manège Enchanté is again in two voices with the lowest often an open bass string and the top melody never reaching past fret 5. Another of note is the 5th piece L'Orgue de Barbarie, which has a Jilting 6/8 rhythm and a pleasant melody atop. There could easily be guitarists, young or older, who might benefit from some nice, moderately easy pieces to play and this certainly fits that bill.
