In these concert etudes I’ve been trying to follow the path of great composers’ masterpieces like Chopin, Liszt and Ligeti for the piano, and Sor, Regondi, Villa-Lobos or Brouwer for the guitar, while trying to expand the dimensions of technique, timbre and effects on the guitar. The etudes focus on standard techniques like arpeggios, slurs, tremolo or multiple voice polifony, hoping that they will found their place in today’s concert repertoire.
