The concerto V-B-Dingue is a tribute to my friend Vincent Beer-Demander, drawing on his musicality and boundless energy. I was delighted to explore the possibilities of the mandola within a plucked-string ensemble, a setting whose great richness—particularly in terms of textures—I discovered, and which allowed me to express certain emotions in a new way.
