The music of composer Pierre-Adrien Charpy is open to musical encounters. Attuned to the present and responsive to the currents of his time, it draws its roots from the history of music while branching out into the exploration of new instrumental technologies, from electronics to hybrid sound instruments. Among the some sixty works he has composed are purely instrumental pieces for traditional ensembles, chamber groups, or large orchestras, alongside others written for so-called early instruments, non-Western instruments, and instruments emerging from the digital revolution.
