Description
Louiselle Mathieu completed her bachelor’s degree in music at Université Laval. She taught piano at the Ursulines de Québec before starting her own music school, where she taught guitar for beginners and piano. She has been dedicated to writing and teaching music for over 25 years. She developed a teaching approach that breaks the isolation of guitar and piano students, increases their motivation, creates a sense of belonging to their school, fosters a mutual helping relationship among participants and boosts their confidence. Ensemble music helps develop skills that solo players cannot hone by themselves, such as listening to the ensemble while playing and adjusting to the group (general tempo, nuances, variations, slowing-down, style and balanced sound). With the compositions of Louiselle Mathieu, guitar teachers will have teaching material for ensemble music that is not only enjoyable, but also stimulating for guitar students.
