Carlos Wernicke (Buenos Aires, 1976) has been involved with music since childhood… he began studying guitar with Máximo Pujol when he was 10 years old, and he graduated as Superior Professor of Guitar at the age of 24. During his adolescence he joined a rock-pop group, which also led him rediscover classical music and tango. His interests later came include Celtic rock and contemporary music, as well as studies of cello and piano. His current activities include transcription of early music, composition, and musical arrangement.
He is an accomplished concert guitarist, tango guitarist, accompanist, teacher and an educator. He has been distinguish “for his admirable musical sense and technical virtuosity.” (Scherzo magazine) and for his “delicacy and creativity” (El País - España)
Since 2003 he has been living in Madrid, where he develops his artistic and teaching activities.
