Charlie Suite

Charlie was my father. He was a huge encouragement to me, buying me my first quite expensive guitar. He was also a complex man full of kindness, humour, wit - but also belligerence at times. I’m sorry he didn’t live to see this music published or performed. He might not have understood the music, but he would have recognised himself in the names and descriptions of the pieces. I dedicate this piece to his memory, with gratitude.
