YEPREM Sefa

Dr.Sefa Yeprem Guitarist, Composer, Guitar Educator. He was born in 1974. He began playing guitar with Reha Yeprem in 1983. Dr.Yeprem studied harmony, contrapoint and composition with Ozcan Ozbek, Cenan Akin, and Server Acim. Dr.Yeprem got master degree from Marmara University Science Institude, Phd. degree from Marmara University Social Science Institude. He studied "Flamenco styles and usage in the guitar education" in master program. Dr.Yeprem's doctorate thesis was about the cultural origins of Andalucia. At the same time he finished the special research called "A comparison between Turkish Mosque Music and Non-Muslim Congregations Temple Music in Istanbul" Dr.Yeprem made many recitals in Turkey, Germany and France. He established and conducted some chamber music ensembles in music schools of Istanbul. He teaches classical and flamenco guitar in Istanbul. He made many compositions, arrangements and transcriptions for classical and flamenco guitar. Some of his compositions and arrangements are published by Les Productions d'OZ (Canada) and Bemol Music Ltd. (Turkey).
