Description
After being selected by Julian Bream to participate at the “Rencontres Musicales d’Evian “ in 1996, Tristan Manoukian receives a First Prize at the Conservatory of Marseille, where he studied with René Bartoli. In 1999 he completes his degree program at the Superior National Conservatory of Paris with a First Prize as a student of Alberto Ponce, as well as gaining the “Diplôme de Formation Supérieure.” Prize-winner of the International Guitar Competition of Aix-en-Provence, he appears as a soloist at various festivals - Ile de Ré, Vittel, Castellamare en Sicile, to name a few. He also takes part in several ensembles (Ysire, Rosaces, Polychronies), which play throughout France and abroad. With his two current ensembles, the Alchemy Guitar Duo and the Miscellaneous Voice and Guitar Duo, he plays unpublished works that he arranges himself. He is also a composer of film music for documentaries (L’Album de Juliette, L’île de Chelo), and took part in the recording of a CD by the French Society for Contemporary Music. Tristan Manoukian owns an Aptitude Certificate and currently teaches at the Regional Conservatory of Nice.
