Description

Perhaps the worst thing about this piece is the awful pun in the title. After that you get a quirky, bouncy little tune that is great fun. It is not however too easy to play. The main theme requires careful handling when moving from the D chord to the diminished one that follows or you are courting musical disaster, as you could so easily be left losing one of the voices when you attempt to move from one chord to the next. The trick with it is moving before the change, on the open D rather than on the next note. The melody begins In D in two or three voices before moving briefly to a middle section in F major that again requires a bit of care. The F moves to a G, then on to an A and then, you guessed it, back to D for the return of the main theme.
It is all, over in two minutes, but is a lovely little encore style of piece and providing you don't misread little in length for easy (which it isn't), you'll get a lot of pleasure from getting your hands round this little gem.
