Dr. Henrique Coe is a Brazilian and Canadian composer and music educator. His music has been performed in many countries. Notably, he composed three pieces for the Dedication of the Montréal Cathedral in Canada.
Henrique did his doctorate in composition at the University of Toronto, his master’s in composition at the Université de Montréal, and his music education degree at Conservatório Brasileiro de Música. While working as a music teacher at a French Catholic school in Toronto, he made an important contribution to music education by developing a music theory method that became known as The Coe Method.
