Dutch born guitarist and composer Eugène den Hoed (b. 1946) studied guitar with Jan Goudswaard and Baltazar Benítez at the Brabants Conservatorium in Holland. Eugène den Hoed has always been active as a guitarist, in popular music as well as classical music. He played the classical guitar in various chamber music ensembles and also played electric guitar in many pop and blues bands.
He has been a guitar teacher at the municipal School of Music in his hometown Bergen op Zoom in Holland.
His works for classical guitar began to be published in 2002.
