Giving voice to the repertoires of today and tomorrow
Doberman Musique (DM) is the classical music record label distributing recordings of works published by Les Productions d’Oz. It is dedicated to promoting new music and the music of its artists by handling all stages of album post-production, from conception to distribution.
Doberman Musique is dedicated to disseminating the repertoire of two niches of classical music. On the one hand, it promotes the classical guitar by providing a showcase for this instrument's repertoire, distributing recordings of new music, as well as arrangements from the classical repertoire. On the other hand, it supports Canadian and international contemporary music by collaborating with established and emerging composers. Its rich and varied catalog includes major works by Quebec composers such as Jacques Hétu and André Prévost, reflecting the unique heritage of contemporary music in Quebec.
The record label adopts a strong visual and sonic identity, crafting a universe for each album that reflects the personal vision of the performers and composers. By focusing on creativity and artistic excellence, it promotes high-quality original pieces that enrich today's repertoire. It offers artists and audiences from all backgrounds musical experiences rooted in current events while promoting the legacy of classical music. By integrating a recording dimension into the publishing activities of Les Productions d'Oz, Doberman Musique responds to the constant evolution of the classical music industry and ensures optimal distribution of its artists' works to musicians and the general public.
Distributed by Universal Music, in partnership with Atma Classique, Doberman Musique positions itself as an essential Quebec label for performers and creators who wish to share their music with the world.
