Baie des sables
Lumière

Here is a suite of short pieces whose flavour is of the sweet and nostalgic kind that conjures images of French films about childhood or other almost magical glimpses into life. This is not for the slightly snobby legion of guitarists who insist that the only good music must be doused in accidentals and have time-signatures and key changes that can render music like the aftermath of the Gunfight at the OK Corral. No, this is very simple and on the whole charming. There are varieties of rhythm in abundance and much of the music relies on right hand arpeggios. Full use is made of the guitar's open string resonance towards the end of the suite. I am not trying to sound patronising when I feel the music has been composed to enjoy. It has not driven me wild with excitement but it does dance prettily on the guitar.

(Tim Panting, Classical Guitar)
