This is a really charming publication. Le Dimanche Arrivé begins very simply with the folk song. The other parts evolve from the theme. By keeping the harmony simple and giving the individual parts just enough rhythmic development the composer has produced a lovely piece. The second piece, C'est dans le mois de Mai, I found equally satisfying. The way in which the composer treats the theme is delightful. Again safe harmonies and rhythms, but this is exactly right. As before with this publisher, clearly printed score and parts. (John Arran, Classical Guitar, 11/2000)
