Pentagone - Sécante

This piece forms the second movement of the Pentagone 'suite', a composition having its origins in 1996. Secante takes the form of a dialogue - a conversation/argument - between the two guitars. Tbis duet is, in its nature, more aggressive than its predecessor, and is an interesting piece of writing although not as captivating or absorblng as the first movement. If Secante was the opening movement I doubt it would encourage further explorations into the rest of the 'suite' (as Mediane, the first movement, certainly does). The standard is around the grades 7-8 mark.
