The prime characteristic of the slow Prelude from Preludio y Danza no. 4 is a flowing accompaniment providing a foundation for a syncopated melody. This is attractive writing for the guitar and provides a nice preamble to the following Danza, which is in a Vals-Bossa style and, in the typical stylish Jorge Cardoso composition, has its emphasis very much in the 'Latin' manner.
The standard of presentation (...) is very good and the works would suit a grade 7 player.
