One of Erik Marchelie's earlier works, Aulos was composed in 1988. It is a very tuneful. relaxing piece with a gentle sway to it throughout and, as is fairly typical of this composer, there are some interesting, 'lush' harmonies in the guitar writing. Both instrumentalists have equal work to do and the piece would make an ideal choice for the duo of around the grade 5 standard.
Presentation is up to the usual Les Productions D'Oz criterion and there are separate parts for each player.
