Cavatine is a pleasant little offering for the flute and guitar repertoire and musically, quite typical of this composer's work, albeit a tad easier than several other pieces I have by him, technically speaking. There is a nice, «sugary« tune throughout played by the flute over a guitar part consisting of lush, arpeggiated chords and a few unexpected twists of harmony and the composition would fit comfortably into the student concert or amateur concert.
