Description

Taken from Benjamin Godard's opera Jocelyn, this is, perhaps his most famed operatic composition and is here offered in a respectable enough arrangement for flute and guitar with the disconsolate opening section followed by the uplifting and celebrated melody presented in the original key.
With only a relatively few bars of slight difficulty (out of first position) this would ideally suit the player of around the grades 4-5 standard, which goes for the flautist as well.
Steve Marsh (Classical Guitar Magazine)
