This group of small studies would be appropriate for a student just past the beginning stages and ready to start exploring the fingerboard and simple guitar figurations. Each of the studies has a clear technical point, and the motives are repeated enough to give the fingers a sense of mechanism. There are short scales, various arpeggio patterns, natural harmonics, slurs and articulations, all within a palatable musical format. The titles are evocative, and these would be very useful.
