Description

An intermediate study with romantic overtones
Another from Dyens' series of 100 pieces aimed primarily at the intermediate student. This one is basically a study on two levels: first, to get the player accustomed to the rhythm of triplets; and second, to familiarize the player with intervals of a sixth, which makes up a large percentage of the composition.
The tempo is lazy and laid-back (hence the title, "Lazy Flower") and overall it is has a very pleasant, sing-able melody line with romantic overtones. Due to the slowness of the piece, the player should be able to take great advantage in following the numerous performance instructions which Dyens tends to flood his music with. There is nothing here that should present any technical problems to the Grade 3-4 player.
