Description

Fenestrae was written for the Baltic Guitar Quartet and recorded on the ensemble’s album Tradicion Nuevo (2013). The title refers to the windows of the beautiful St. Casimir church in Vilnius and is dedicated to the patron saint of Lithuanian St. Casimir. The core of the piece is a rather simple lyric melody that gradually grows to finally sound in an a capella chorale.

The piece was premiered in 2012 at the Southbank Centre Concert Hall in London.
