Description

Concierto alegre for two guitars and orchestra was written in 1986. The music proceeds in a variety of ‘conversations’, with the orchestration kept sotto voce when the guitars are playing. The hand-written manuscript score contained several mistakes, as well as an absence of dynamic and articulation markings. These have been added and were used in the 2022 recording of the work. The full score contains a complete critical commentary, explaining all the changes which have been made.
