Description

The first and second movements of Three Autumn Ricercars follow the improvisatory ricercar/fantasia form, with the second movement embodying the spirit of a psalm. The music combines 16th-century modal counterpoint with contemporary techniques, such as polyrhythm and transformative processes. This piece transcends both the present and the ancient, creating a new spiritual incarnation. It is dedicated to the Serbian pianist Nada Kolundija.

Movements
