Francesco Di Giandomenico, initially trained by Claudio and Leonardo De Angelis, later honed his skills in San Juan, Puerto Rico, under the tutelage of composer Ernesto Cordero, a Grammy Awards nominee in 2012. Cordero praised Di Giandomenico as a “guitarist distinguished by his refined musical sensitivity.” His education also includes masterclasses with some of the world’s most prominent guitarists, including Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Roland Dyens, Johannes Möller, Neil Smith, Ivan Rijos, Juan Sorroche, and Helmut Jasbar.

Di Giandomenico graduated with top honors in multiple disciplines, including Guitar, Musical Disciplines, Instrumental Didactics, Repertoire for Guitar and Orchestra, Chamber Music, and Political and Economic Sciences. Composers like Ernesto Cordero, Johannes Möller, Robert Hutmacher, Fernando Sulpizi, Antonio Rossi, and others have dedicated works to him, which he has performed in world premieres.

His performance career is equally distinguished, with solo concerts and collaborations in chamber ensembles and orchestras across Europe, the United States, China, the Caribbean, and South America. He has been invited to perform by prestigious institutions such as the Italian Embassy in Beijing, Roosevelt University in Chicago, the Embassy of Uruguay to the Holy See, St. Mary Le Bow in London, Tsinghua University in Beijing, and the Embassy of Cuba in Italy.

In addition to his classical repertoire, Di Giandomenico has explored electronic music, forming a duo with composer Angelo Benedetti. He also collaborates with violinist Paolo Castellani as part of the SatorDuo (www.satorduo.com), which has been lauded for its “energy, emotional charge, and virtuosity” by the Ibero Latin America Music Society in London and recognized internationally as “one of the most exciting duos today in Italy” by the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago.

He is the author of music for guitar quartet and guitar ensemble published by Les Productions d’OZ, in the Chuck Hulihan Series.
