Description

Written in six parts for 'normal' guitars this single movement work is at once appealing. The opening descending scalelike figure sets the character of the introduction and continues into the first section with a melody split between guitars I to IV above. The melody then broadens above a strummed rhythm in guitar V whilst guitar VI points both rhythm and harmony. This material is added to and developed in a really delightful way before the descending scale-like passage brings this piece to a close.
Beautifully written and a pleasure to play. Try it.
(John Arran, Classical Guitar, June 2001)
