Description

Beginning initially in a very slow and «bluesy« style, the work eventually leads into what turns out to be the showcase of the composition, a beautifully delicate central episode, the main feature of which is the campanella harmonies drifting into each other and producing an ethereal ambience. After a return to the opening subject matter the work ends in a dreamy fashion and fading out using sorne deliciously attractive jazzy chords.
This is an attractive piece which does tend to grow on one upon further play-throughs. The standard required to do it full justice is in the higher-intermediate level.
