Amalgama, with its South American connotation, is a delightful addition to the guitar duo repertoire, ideally suited to the intermediate duo. Throughout its relatively brief duration, it is high in melodic content and the heavily syncopated compositional style in which it is written adds further interest. The piece is fun from start to finish and would make the perfect vehicle for an encore.
Presentation is excellent and the score comes with two separate parts for each player.
