This is a pleasant and charming miniature (47 bars in length) from a composer who, over the past few years, has written some very attractive music for the guitar.
Berceuse, a French term meaning cradle song or lullaby, fits the bill exactly with this piece, with its soothing, simple but effective melody line played over a calming rhythm reminiscent of the movement of the same title from Fauré's Dolly Suite.
This would be an ideal choice for any amateur guitar and piano duos looking for an easy programme filler.
