An intermediate arrangement of a popular tango
"Por una Cabeza" is one of those enduring melodies that strikes just the right :hord-representing the tango form at ts very best. This piece was written in 1935 by the French/Argentine composer Carlos Gardel and has remained one )f his best-known works. It is also one )f the last compositions, as he tragically Iled at the height of his popularity in an iirplane crash in the same year.
This arrangement for solo guitar is rery well conceived by Michel Kirschner. He has kept the standard to one that vould be suitable for the intermediate ilayer, but still has managed to retain nost of the wonderful musical features If this splendid tune. His chosen key is A maior/A minor, which works well in this etting. -S.M
