Yes, these pieces are pleasant to play. The experience starts with charming artwork on the cover and descriptive titles, and is followed up with one to two-page pieces that progress from simple chalumeau-range works to a variety of styles: tango, fantasia, klezmer and easy contemporary with air sounds and timbral trills and tremolos. Best for players with at least four years of clarinet study. Several of the etudes have alternate versions for bass clarinet.
