Description

Five Moods op.145 was written in 2002 for the American duo, Duozona. In the first movement, Easy-going, the quavers could be lightly swung. Likewise, Blue can have some rhythmic freedom, after its eponymous title. Breathless is a scamper, with the guitar pursuing the flute. Eventually the two parts meet, maybe in preparation for the next movement? Romantic is a quasi love-song, with the wide-ranging melody maybe expressing the angst of the lovers, which is resolved in the end? Cheerful is self-explanatory.
