"An essentially technical question underlies the writing of the piece: how to evoke in the listener's mind, through the circumscribed sonic garden of the guitar, an atmosphere previously experienced in a context, and through a medium, different and inextricably distant.
A bet won, I want to believe, by entrusting the instrument to one of its specific characters: being able to capture the essence through suggestion, the body through the shadow...and the idea that the guitar, like no other instrument, is able to make itself a medium to evoke and materialize even crossing theoretically distant territories if not even contrary to its nature.
The piece could thus be defined, essentially, as a study, a research, on timbre and its imaginative power. Structured in three sections, two of which are presented as variations of the first, in different and distant tonal territories".
