Description

Written to encourage ensemble playing this set of enjoyable pieces offers 2nd and 3rd year students a variety of pleasing options.
With the exception of two the seven pieces are based on popular tunes eg. Campanas de Belen Una Rosa en Cada Gatta: El Vito. These are worked in trio form. The parts are easy and include imitative writing, passages in 6ths, arpeggio accompaniments, harmonics. percussive effects in a variety of keys ranging from one flat to three sharps.
Also included are the melodies and words of the songs so it is possible to use this delightful material with a singer or perhaps a singer and second melody instrument with trio accompaniment... whatever. An unusual idea which allows players -at an early stage to make decisions affecting the instrumentation and therefore the sound colour as well as providing an opportunity to work with others.
Excellent. The score is clearly presented, parts are provided.
(Jane Bentley, Classical Guitar)

Duos de partout et d'ailleurs, vol. 2, Pour jouer à trois, vol. 1
